The Riverkeeper Gala is the National Capital Region’s premier fundraising event to support a clean and healthy river and one of the most talked about events on the Ottawa social calendar. After a two year hiatus, the gala is making a comeback in 2022!

Join us on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 as we come together to celebrate the Ottawa River. It will be a spectacular evening of fine cuisine, musical performances, and dancing. The event will feature our popular Riverkeeper Gala Auction, distinguished guests, and immaculate views at 50 Sussex as the sun sets over the Ottawa River.

During the event we will be presenting this year’s Honorary Riverkeeper, a prestigious designation awarded to someone who promotes the cause of water protection, inspires others, and works for the good of our watershed. 
 

2022 Online Auction

Our wildly popular Riverkeeper Gala Auction always features unique and exclusive items. The auction will launch online prior to the gala, giving bidders an early opportunity to bid on an impressive array of high-end items, including experience packages and original artwork by local artists. Attendees of the Riverkeeper Gala will be able to view a selection of items on display at the event.

The auction will conclude the evening of the gala, on June 1, 2022. ​All proceeds from the auction go towards keeping our river swimmable, drinkable, and fishable for everyone. If you are interested in donating items to the auction, please reach out to donations@ottawariverkeeper.ca.

Ottawa Riverkeeper is pleased to announce the headliner for its 2022 Riverkeeper Gala…Grammy Award-winning, Latin pop star Alex Cuba!

A forward-thinking, indie-minded artist, Alex has amassed a steadily growing following among critics and fans. With over 20 awards and nominations to his name, including four Latin Grammys, two Junos Awards and three Grammy nominations. 

​

Alex carries his Cuba within, incorporating subtle jazz influences, gained from his early years as a bass player in Cuba, and tasteful, sophisticated chords and lyrics expressing his poetry in an undeniably Cuban way. His growing body of work defines a unique musical place in the Latin diaspora.
